Data sheets
Our type 4 cylinders offer exceptional lightness, mechanical strength, and maximum safety for firefighters and rescue teams operating in critical emergency situations. Their daily work involves significant risks, which is why our cylinders are a vital resource in the most dangerous environments.

Key Features of our carbon fiber cylinder

Specifically designed for SCBA systems, CTS cylinders deliver high performance even in the harshest conditions, enabling fast and effective interventions.
They are available with:

  • Capacities ranging from 2 to 13 liters to meet every operational need;
  • Operational durations from 15 to 90 minutes;
  • Working pressures of 300 or 310 bar.

To meet the specific requirements of various operating environments, CTS offers two types of external finishes for its Type 4 composite cylinders:

  • Flame-retardant heat-shrink sleeves ideal for use in contaminated environments or where frequent sanitization is required.
    This finish, like materials used in electrical cable protection, makes the cylinder easy to clean and disinfect, while providing optimal hygiene and surface protection. The sleeves can be removed and replaced, allowing the cylinder to be restored to like-new condition and eliminating any external contaminants.
  • Fiberglass finish with transparent flame-retardant coating designed for demanding environments and confined spaces, this finish offers superior protection against impact and abrasion, while still allowing for easy cleaning and sanitization.
    It’s the preferred choice when cylinders are frequently used in narrow passages or rugged operational settings.

Both finishes can be customized with practical accessories such as:

  • Photoluminescent bands, which automatically glow in the dark or during blackouts;
  • Reflective bands, which act as light reflectors, improving the visibility of rescue personnel during nighttime operations or in heavy-traffic areas;
  • And much more.
